Makdaz

« Mekdaz is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Middle High Atlas region. Located deep within the High Atlas Mountains, it belongs to the Ait Temlil commune in the Azilal province, within the Demanat Ait Mekoun district. The village stands out among neighboring villages (Taznakh, Taftasht, Ait Ouneito, Ait Hamza, Fakhour, Takokht, Tasli, Taslent, Avolo) due to its unique features and attractions.

Mekdaz is among the most visited villages by tourists, thanks to its strategic geographic location, its historical monuments, and its breathtaking natural landscapes, including waterfalls, fresh unpolluted air, and serene surroundings. What sets it further apart is its designation as a village of seven kasbahs, also called ‘Tghrmin’, giving it a distinctive architectural and cultural character. Its enchanting and attractive nature makes it a prime tourist hub.

Moreover, Mekdaz holds a glorious historical significance for its resistance against European colonization, particularly the French. The region, along with other areas in the High Atlas Mountains, witnessed strong opposition to French colonial forces, marking it as a site of historical resilience and cultural pride. »

تعتبر مكذاز من أهم مناطق السياحية بالمنطقة الاطلس الكبير الأوسط. توجد في عمق الأطلس الكبير، تنتمي إلى جماعة أيت تمليل إقليم أزيلال دائرة دمنات أيت مكون تتميز بمجموعة من الخصائص والمميزات على القرى المجاورة (تازناخت، تفتشت، أيت على نيطو، أيت حمزة، فاخور، تاكوخت، تاسلي، تاسلنت، افولو). حيث أنها من بين القرى الأكثر استقطابا للسياح وذلك راجع للموقعها الجغرافي، وتوفرها على مجموعة من المآثر التاريخية والمناظر الطبيعية الخلابة من الشلالات والهواء النقي غير الملوث والهدوء، كما أن لها ما يميزها عن غيرها من القرى، فهي قرية ذات القصبات السبع أو ما يسمى ب « تغرمين » وتتميز كذلك بطبيعة ساحرة وجذابة ورائعة، فهي قطب سياحي بامتياز هذه القرية التي لها تاريخ مجيد في الوقوف ضد الاستعمار الأوروبي وخاصة الفرنسي، حيث ضمن هذه المنطقة وضمن مناطق جبال الأطلس الكبير. واجهت فرنسا مقاومة شديدة.
